Have contact info ready
Have email sign up ready
Be ready to be friendly!
1. contact: VU Info Desk
2. Pick up Table: They must contact a janitor when you are ready to pick up table - pick table up by the bus stops in between the Multi-Purpose Room and the Viking Commons
-Don't forget chairs
3. You then must cart the table and one/two chairs to Red Square and set them up
4. Set up near the fountain if sunny or in front of Miller Market if its rainy
When talking to people or trying to: Never speak poorly of the administration, as they have been very helpful in this whole learning process. We are a positive group and want to keep that reputation : )
5. Make eye contact from a distance to draw people in
6. Try not to sound like you are selling something, we are more interested in peoples genuine support than getting them to sign something ignorantly
7. To hold peoples' attention, start by asking them a simple question
"Have you heard about the Student run Food Coop? "
"Have you heard of The Real Food Challenge?"
8. Only give food samples to those who listen and or participate in what ever you are doing NO treats for those not willing to listen
9. Get as many emails as possible - mention our facebook group to anyone and everyone!
10. These need to be returned when you are done tabling. Do not leave the table unattended.
*We should try to have at least 2 people there at all times fielding questions, and especially at the hour marks during break
Reuse this table for current table events make sure to read the how to! this chart is also available under "outreach"
